The Higher Education Commission (HEC), is an independent, autonomous, and statutory institution of primary funding, overseeing, regulating, and accrediting research and the higher education institutions in Pakistan. HEC Pakistan has introduced new journal recognition system called HJRS. Asian Social Studies and Applied Research (ASSAR) has been recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in Category "Y" in HJRS from July 1st 2021 till 30th June 2022.
